The inscriptions of this king are for the most part donative and do not furnish any historical details other than one record¹ which refers to the destruction of Olakkur and the death of a hero. This record is on a slab set up near the village-munsiff’s śāvaḍi at Olakkur and is a Viragal of the period of Kampaperumāḷ who may be identified with Kampavarman. It records the death of a hero on the occasion of the destruction of the place in the later part of the ninth century.
