The grant is dated in some year of Vijayaskandavarman (illegible). It records an order by the Queen Regent in behalf of the heir-apparent Vijaya-Buddhavarman who is described as a Pallava and affiliated to *Bhāradvāja-gōtra*. Dr. Hultzsch has read the name of the queen as Chārudēvi and that of the prince whose mother she claims to have been as Buddh(yan)kura. The grant supplies the genealogical order Mah. Vijayaskandavarman, his son Yuvamahārāja Vijaya Buddhavarman and his son Buddhyaṅkura.
