The Tamil portion refers to the grant of Veḷvikkuḍi by Palyāgaśālai-mudukuḍumi-peruvaḻudi to Korkaikilān-Narkoṟṟan and mentions the Kaḷabhra-occupation of the country. Then it proceeds to record the re-establishment of the Pāṇḍya power under Kaḍungōn whose son was Adhirāja-Māravarman-Avani-Śūḷāmaṇi. His son was Śeḻiyan-Śēndan famous for his heroism, his son Arikēśarin Asamasaman-Māravarman of whom it is recorded that he overcame the ocean-like army of the Vilvēli in the battle of Nelvēli, conquered the king of Kerala and performed several times the ceremonies of *Hēmagarba* and the *Tulābhāra*. His son Kō-Śaḍaiyan is said to have destroyed at Marudūr the army, and at Maṅgaḷapura the Mahāratha who was overcome and destroyed. Tēr-Māran, his son, fought the battles of Neḍuvayal, Kuṟumaḍai, Maṇṇi-kurichchi, Tirumaṅgai, Pūvāḷūr, Koḍumbāḷūr, and Kuḷumbūr against the Pallava. He is further credited with having subdued Maḷakoṅgam, entered into relations with the Gaṅgarāja, renewed the walls of Kūḍal, Vañji and Koḷi. His son was Tennan-vānavan-Neḍuñjaḍayan, who is stated to have conquered at Peṉṉāgaḍam, the Āyavēḷ and the Kuṟumbas at the battle of Nāṭṭukuṟumbu. In the third year of his reign he renewed a land grant made by Palyāgaśālai-mudukuḍumi-Peruvaluḍi to the palace singer. The *āgnapti* of the grant was Māran-Kāri and the poet who composed the Tamil portion of the grant was Ēnādi *alias* Śāttan.
