129. *Ep. Col.*, No. 357 of 1909. This inscription is written on a slab set up near the Village Munsiff’s śavadi at Olakkūr and is a Vīragal of the period of Kampaperumāḷ. It records the death of a hero on the occasion when the town was destroyed. The characters in which the inscription is recorded are old enough to be ascribed to the time of the later Pallava kings of the ninth century. The hero who met with his death is represented by a standing figure with a drawn sword in the right hand.
