Successors of Simhavarman II.—Very little is known about the successors of Simhavarman II till we come to the accession of Simhaviṣṇu. The Vāyalūr pillar inscription which is relied upon by Prof. Jouveau-Dubreuil for this period gives the names of the following kings in the order of succession mentioned below:— Simhavarman II (A.D. c. 436–460). Viṣṇugopavarman II. Simhavarman III. Simhaviṣṇu (A.D. c. 575–600).
