We have already referred the four Sanskrit charters issued respectively from Ōmgōḍu, Pikīra, Daśanapura and Palakkada between the fourth and the eleventh years of Simhavarman to this reign. The probable date of this king is derivable from purely epigraphic and palæographic evidence as the middle of the fifth century. But the discovery of the *Lokavibhāga*, a Jain manuscript, has gone a great way towards fixing the actual period of rule of this king.
