¹ [One Mustafa Khān was the Killedār of Kanakgiri (Kanikgeeree) (literally, ‘golden hill’), and, according to one account, was instigated to revolt by Afzal Khān, the Bijāpur general. Professor Sarkar regards this as a late legend, and the Chitnis and Shivdigvijaya Bakhars which embody it as very untrustworthy. (Shivaji and His Times, pp. 85, 501.)]
