v1.c14.9

⁶ Mahratta MSS. Netajee Palkur, the predecessor of Kartojee Goozur, was, according to Khafee Khan, made prisoner by Jey Sing, and sent to Delhi by the Emperor’s orders, where he became a Mahomedan, obtained a munsub, and the title of Mohummud Koolee, but afterwards returned to Sivajee. This is not mentioned by the Mahrattas, although it may have been so. Among Mahrattas he never could have been respected, obeyed, or noticed, as a renegado.
