v1.c17.109

¹ It is mentioned in Scott’s Deccan, that Sultan Mohummud Akber was supported by a body of Mahrattas, in an attempt to proceed to Hindoostan, and that he was defeated near Chakun, but the successful attack on Baroach is the only one in which I think it probable that he was a principal actor. He was engaged in the Concan, and was at Palee and at Beemgurh when Sultan Mauzum’s troops were attacked, as appears by copies of letters, from Mohummud Akber to Kuloosha Kuvee Kulus, which I obtained from the late Raja of Kolapoor.
