v1.c18.47
A.D. 1694.—Zoolfikar Khan, on being deprived of the command by the arrival of the prince, was exceedingly mortified, and even Assud Khan, after the late success of his son at Raigurh, considered the supersession unjust on the part of the Emperor, particularly as it was well known that it had been brought about by Joudpooree,² the prince’s mother, and the favourite wife of Aurungzebe.
