v1.c8.75

The structure that had been founded and reared by Alla-ud-deen continued to be built up by his successors; but the pile soon became too lofty to sustain its own weight without a broader basis; and the great addition of territory to the eastward, which was acquired by the victories of Mohummud Shah over the Raja of Orissa, brought on a crisis which could only terminate in reform or revolution.
