¹ [Fleurea or Fleury was a French cavalry-officer in Perron’s army. When Perron fled to Agra after the battle of Koil in 1803, Fleury was dispatched to harry the Company’s district of Cawnpore. After the fall of Aligarh he returned to Agra, whence he escaped with great difficulty, rejoining Perron at Lucknow and accompanying him to Calcutta. (Compton, Military Adventurers, &c., p. 356.)]
