v3.c20.355

The province of the Deccan, under the rule of Malik Qavām-ud-dīn, who had been appointed to its government with the title of Qutlugh Khān, remained loyal to the new dynasty, but Pratāparudradeva of Warangal appears to have believed that his fealty to Delhi was dissolved by the extinction of the Khaljīs, and in 1321 Tughluq sent his eldest son, Ulugh Khān, to reduce him again to obedience.
