v3.c20.358
Before the troops reached Deogīr they learned by posts from Delhi that the king still lived, and the treason of the prince and his counsellors became apparent to all, but the great nobles who had opposed him were apprehensive of his vengeance, or of his influence with his father, and fled, with his evil advisers. One died in Gondwāna, another was slain by a Hindu chieftain who flayed his body and sent the skin to the prince, and the others were captured and sent to the prince.
