v3.c20.440
From Bahrāich the king returned to Delhi after an absence of two and a half years, and here found ‘Alī Shāh Kar and his brothers, who had been sent from the Deccan by Qutlugh Khān. With rare clemency he contented himself with banishing them to Ghaznī, but ‘Alī Shāh afterwards returned to India without permission, and was captured and executed. At the same time ‘Ain-ul-Mulk was pardoned, released from prison, and reinstated in the government of Oudh.
