Jasrat the Khokar was again active, and in August news was received that he was besieging Kalānaur and had driven back to Lahore Sikandar Tuhfa, who had attempted to relieve the beleaguered town. Emboldened by his success he attacked Jullundur, and though he failed to capture the town he plundered the district and carried off into slavery large numbers of its inhabitants. Zīrak Khān from Sāmāna and Islām Khān Lodī from Sirhind marched to support Sikandar Tuhfa at Lahore, but before they could reach him he had succeeded in effecting a junction with Rāi Ghālib, the defender of Kalānaur, and had defeated Jasrat, driven him into the hills, and recovered all his spoil.
