Bahādur, having been joined by Muhammad Shāh of Khāndesh, marched from Chāmpāner on November 6, 1532, and on February 14, 1533, the two kings arrived before Chitor. Ten days later the queen-mother, the widow of Sangrama Singh, purchased peace with what remained of the plunder taken by her husband when he captured Mahmūd Khaljī II of Mālwa, including the jewelled crown of Hūshang, and Bahādur retired, but returned again in 1534.
