v3.c25.70

His martial exploits and the expansion of his dominions which they brought about have been recounted. He was mild and just to his own servants, and his fierce intolerance of Hinduism is counted to him by historians of his own religion as a merit. Of his nickname Begarha two explanations have been given, but there can be no doubt that the true interpretation is *be garh*, or 'two forts,' and that it had reference to his capture of the two great Hindu strongholds of Girnār and Chāmpāner.
