v3.c27.72
In the interval of peace which followed the expedition to Kherla, Fīrūz built for himself and the 800 women of various nations who composed his harem the town of Fīrūzābād, on the Bhīma, the site of which had attracted him on his return from Vijayanagar. The new town was his Capua, but never superseded Gulbarga as the administrative capital of his kingdom.
