v3.c27.91

The new king's first care was to honour the saint to whose patronage and blessing he attributed his success, and his gratitude took the form of extravagant endowments. The shrine of Gīsū Darāz is yet honoured above that of any saint in the Deccan, and the constancy of the mob has put to shame the fickleness of the king, who lightly transferred his favour from the successor of the long-haired saint to a foreigner, Shāh Ni‘matullāh of Māhān, near Kirmān, in Persia.
