In 1406 the Burmese overran Mohnyin and killed the chief; China expostulated² and they withdrew, as they would doubtless have done in any case. In 1407 they sent an embassy to Yünnan. In 1413 the northern Shān state of Hsenwi ravaged the Ava villages and sent some prisoners to Pekin, but Minrekyawswa shattered the Hsenwi host at Wetwin near Maymyo, killing their leader in single combat. In 1414 Hsenwi again raided Āva at the instigation of Razadarit, whose envoys travelled viâ Chiengmai carrying a considerable weight of gold as an inducement.
