¹ Sir A. Cunningham’s statement that the whole surface of the inner walls of the *masjid* was originally covered with raised ornamentation in blue glazed tiles is open to grave doubt. If glazed tiles were used in the manner stated, they probably belong to the Tughluq restoration.
