The only surviving Talaing records are their MSS. chronicles of which the chief are Razadarit Ayedawpon, Thatonhnwemun Yazawin, and Sayadaw Athwa; pagoda records, of which the chief, Slapat Rajawan Datow Smin Ron, is translated and in print; and the Paklat Talaing chronicles, printed in Siam. The best study of the race is Halliday, ‘The Talaings.’
