This kingdom was afterwards annexed to that of Bhatkal either during the reign of Sadasiva or a little earlier; for when Caesar Frederick passed through Onor in 1567, this city was "in the kingdom of the Queen of Bartacella", (Batecala or Baticala, Bhatkal.) The same traveller says that "there is no trade there, but onely a charge with the Captaine and companie hee keepeth there"⁴.
