6. What was the action of Tirumala against the invaders of his Empire? We have read somewhere that teritorially he left it at the time of his death just as it was before the battle of Raksas-Tagdi; but we have not anywhere discovered any source of information so optimistic about his reign. His great military prowess is extolled in many of the grants of his succesors ²; he is called ‘the king of the powerful arm’ ³ who ‘defeated his enemies’ ⁴, ‘conquered’ or ‘subdued hostile kings in battle’ ⁵ and ‘scorched hostile kings with the fire of his valour’ ⁶.
