Early in Safar the camp was in pargana Mandeshwar of subah Malwa, and on the 10th (30th April) when it was at the town of Mandeshwar itself it was learnt that Maharajah Ajit Singh, Rajah Jai Singh Kachhwaha, and Durgadas Rathor, had taken to flight.
