§ 29 A. The Purāṇas give to the Padmāvatī and the Mathurā Nāgas—or, in view of the Viṣṇu, to the Padmāvatī-Kāntipuri-Mathurā Nāgas—seven successions (p. 28 above). This is fully borne out by the names gathered from the coins and inscriptions as tabulated below.
