v1.c19.s2.22
The Dāsas owned considerable wealth, and Ilibiśa, Dhuni, Chumuri, Śambara, Varchin, Pipru, etc., have been mentioned as individual Dāsa kings, some of whom later received demoniac attributes, and were regarded as celestial foes of Indra and other gods. The Kirātas, Kīkaṭas, Chāṇḍālas, Parṇākas, Simyus, etc., were Dāsa tribes who mostly inhabited the Gangetic Valley and fought the Bharatas in their advance to the east and south-east.
