² These coins are called Kushāṇo-Sassanian because the obverse is n imitation of the Sassanian coins and the reverse of the Kushāṇa coins. Cunningham had described them as Scytho-Sassanian, but Kushāṇo-Sassanian is no doubt a more accurate term.
