¹ Thus Ajamīḍha, Ṛkṣa and Saṃvaraṇa in the main Paurava line were not three successive kings; as the table of genealogies in chap. XII shows. Genealogies also were intentionally abbreviated; cf. the Aikṣvāku line in Ag 5, 3; Gar i, 143, 2-3.
