From Duṣyanta to Hastin (or Bṛhat³), who founded or named Hastināpura, the lists fairly agree. Hastin had two sons Ajamīḍha and Dvimīḍha. Ajamīḍha continued the main Paurava line at Hastināpura, and Dvimīḍha founded a separate dynasty, which is not specially named and may be called the Dvimīḍha line, and which will be noticed infra. This portion is shown in the following table.
