⁶ Mat 200, 19. Vā 1, 9–10. Bhāg ix, 2, 21 says Jātūkarṇya famed as Kānīna was Agniveśya, and derives him from Nariṣyanta, Manu’s son (chap. XXIV): if so, he would be a different person in a different gotra.
