³ Vā reading Ṛtathyā in the genealogy should be Autathyā (= Aucathyā). Mat ākhyātā and Hv ete te have ‘emended’ the patronymic they did not understand (cf. pp. 82–3). This Śaradvant apparently is called Autathya Gautama, Vā 64, 26: Bḍ ii, 38, 28.
