Viṣ iv, 10, 16–18 is similar, but corrupts dakṣiṇāparato to dakṣiṇāpathato. Hv 30, 1617–19 is similar, but misplaces Yadu in pūrvottarasyāṃ, which is impossible because there lay the Ayodhyā kingdom. Br 12, 19–20 is somewhat alike, but misplaces Yadu in pūrvasyāṃ, which is impossible because Kāśī lay there. The late Bhāg (ix, 19, 22–3) follows the Viṣṇu’s mistake, reading for dakṣiṇāpathato its equivalent dakṣiṇato, and interchanges Turvasu and Druhyu.
