⁷⁰ The MS. of the Tarikh-i-Mubarak Shahi which Firishta has copied has Malik ‘Ali Sarjāmdār. The correct form ought to be Sarjāmdār. Briggs makes it into Husain ‘Ali (I. p. 438). The MS. of the Sirat-i-Firuz Shahi mentions Qaltāsh Husain and Husain Kaunias the persons who carried the farman of the Sultan to the governor at Devagiri.
