According to Badaoni this battle was fought near the reservoir of Thanesar but the T. M.’s version is different. The Hauz Bahati is a name probably connected with Barani’s Dalili or Raverty’s Zabhali. The place of the first battle cannot be near Thanesar. [Ranking, I, p. 293 (note 5)].
