⁴⁰ Ibn Batutah speaks of the relationship between Shams-al-Din Firuz and Nasir-al-Din, IV, pp. 210—13. He writes :—' In reality the Sultan of Bengal was Nasir-al-Din whose son Mu'iz-al-Din was Emperor of Dihli.
