v1.c24.89
The summary of reigns, which comes in the Purāṇas between the description of the earlier and later Nandas, has reference to ten dynasties in Northern and Central India which were contemporary with the kings of Magadha. It is a bare list of names and numbers without any orderly arrangement, and, as usual, the numbers given by the different MSS. are not consistent. The summary may be rearranged geographically as follows (cf. *Kali Age*, pp. 23–4, 69).
