v1.c29.61

Mention has already been made of the missionary leaders, whose activity is said to have followed upon the Third Council, and of Açoka's several relatives who joined the order (*v. sup.* p. 499). The Pāli books mention also a Mahāvaruṇa, and the two sons of Kuntī, Tissa and Sumitta, who are said to have died after Açoka's eighth year: they are not otherwise known.
