¹ The actual constitution of these *Aim-berun-guḻu* is rather uncertain. They are said to have been composed of ministers, chaplains, generals, commissioners, and secret agents (e.g. by Aḍiyārkku-nallār on *Çilapp'-adhikāram*, v, 157; but see *ibid.* on iii, 126).
