⁴ Πολλάκις δὲ λέγει Μεγασθένης ἀφικέσθαι παρὰ Σανδράκοττον. (Arrian, *Exped. Alex.* v. 6. 2). This may mean that Megasthenes often went to Pāṭaliputra, or often visited Chandragupta when at Pāṭaliputra.
