¹ *Vaṅga*, which is generally taken as East Bengal, is here included in the *Bhukti* of Puṇḍravardhana, generally taken to be North Bengal. Thus at this time the *Bhukti* must have been an extensive tract extending from Northern to Eastern Bengal.
