A difficulty in the way of accepting the identification of this Sāntikara with the son of Loṇabhāra is the period of the script of this inscription. According to the editor it belongs to about the first half of the 9th century A.D., which, considering the nature of the script of the Ganjam grant of Daṇḍi-mahādevī, is much too early for her uncle.
