¹ As no inscriptions with regnal years have been found for the next 3 rulers, it is difficult to find his last year. M. Chakravarti took his 11th year in *Saka* 1028 as an *aṅka* year, and so fixed upon Śaka 1120 as his first year. By taking the reign-periods of the 3 successors of Rājarāja III as given in the Kendupatna plates as *aṅka* years and calculating backward from 1200-01 *Śaka*, the first year of Narasiṁha II, he finds *Śaka* 1133 just fits in with the 17th (*aṅka*) year, *i.e.*, the 14th regnal year of Rājarāja III; *JASB*, 1903, p. 117.
