² Niẓām ud-Dīn (*TA*, Tr. B. Dey, p. 10) and Firishta (Briggs' Trans., Vol. I, p. 56) also give the same date. The date 407 A.H. given by Ibn ul-Athīr (*TKA*, Bulak, 1874, Vol. IX, p. 98) and by Mīrkhond (*Rauẓat uṣ-Ṣafā*, Lucknow Text, 1874, p. 740) appears to be wrong. It is very easy to mistake nine, تسع (*tis'*) for seven سبع (*sab'*). Khond Mīr (*Ḥabīb us-Siyar*, Text, Bombay, 1857, Vol. II, Chapter IV, p. 28), gives the correct date, 409 A.H.
