(2) *Kalinjar broken pillar-inscription.*—It is said to have been found originally in the temple of Nīlakaṇṭha within the fort of Kalinjar. It opens with *Oṁ*, and then gives the date (V.) *Saṁvat* 1187 (A. D. 1130) with the name *Śrīmad*-Madanavarmadeva. Next occur the words *Kālañjarādri Śrī*-Trisalka....... The inscription is incomplete ; but it evidently described some benefaction by the person mentioned last.²
