¹ Edited by Kielhorn, *EI*, Vol. I, pp. 251-70. Just before the last verse (86) occurs ‘*Kāyastha śrī-Sīrukasya*.’ It is difficult ‘to construe the genitive with the preceding or the following verse.’ Kielhorn suggested that Sīruka may have been the writer of a portion of the eulogy; see *ibid*, fn. 50 on p. 270. V. 63 of this inscription seems to refer to a real incident in Yuvarāja II’s life, *viz.*, the slaughter of a fierce ‘tiger with his hand which wielded a knife.’ The record is now in the Nagpur Museum.
