"Even after attaining a place in the world of Śiva he formed a *liṅga* for the earth by union therewith.
So having come and stood at the western side of (the temple of) the god Svayambhū of the town of Kurugōḍu, and arisen in the form of a *liṅga* so as to delight the whole world, he became very famous under the title of 'the god *Udbhava-Rācamalleśvara*.'"²
