(7) *Timana grant of the Mehra Jagamalla.*—‘Found at Ṭimānā near Bhaunagar.’ It contains 34 lines, incised on two plates. It opens with the date (V.) Saṁvat 1264 (A.D. 1206) when *M.P.-Pb.-Umāpati-vara-labdha-prauḍha-pratāpa-Laṅkeśvara-Nārāyaṇāvatāra* Bhīmadeva was ruling at Aṇahilapāṭaka and while his *Mahāmātya-Rāṇaka* Cācigadeva was in charge of the Seal.⁵ At this date the following *Śāsana-patra* was drawn up with the consent of the Mehara-*rāja* Jagamalla at Ṭimbāṇaka (mod. Timana) under the administration (*vyāpāre*?) of the *Pratī*(*hāra*) Sākhadā. The abovementioned Jagamalla had established two idols,¹ Caüṇḍareśvara and Pṛthivīdevīśvara, at the large town (*mahāsthāna*?) of Talājhā² for the spiritual merit of (his father) Caüṇḍarā, the son of the great man (*bṛhatpuruṣa*), the Mehara-*rāja* Āna, and his mother *Seṭhāhe-rājñī* Pṛthivīdevī. He granted 55 *pāthas*³ of land in each of the two villages named Kāmbalaüli⁴ and Phulasara⁵ for the maintenance of the gods.⁶ The inscription also records donations of annual grants of money (*dramma* and *rūpaka*) from *Pratī*(*hāra*) Sākhadā, the *Śreṣṭhin* Valahala and the *Mahājanas* of Ṭimbānka, the *pūjāmātya* of the Ṭimbānaka-*maṇḍala*, and Rāüla Uccadeva. This last person and 8 other trustees (*Goṣṭhika*) were appointed to administer the revenues of 'this place of worship' under the control of certain Sobhārka. The inscription was incised by *Sau* Ālada.⁷
