Cacca built 'this' temple of Bhavānī, no doubt the temple where this inscription was found. The *praśasti* was composed by the *Gauḍa-Kāyastha* Mahādeva, son of Kalya, a poet. The date (V.) *Saṁvat* 1056 (*c.* 999) is given in line 22.³
